After the much anticipated arrival, the chickens finally hatched!
We couldn't get enough of these cute chicks!
They grew incredibly fast and they were all taken home by students who were willing to care for them.
Miss. Brown's butterflies finally emerged from their cocoons.
We had the great opportunity to go to BYU for their Science and Engineering Fair! We learned so much about different fields in Engineering. Here we are in the building where they test different kinds of asphalt and cement for roads.
In this meeting room we learned about the engineers that work to develop different types of planes!
Here is a hexa-copter!
There were different booths that we got to visit and talk with college students about their projects.
We finally got beetles! We were starting to lose hope, but two beetles have finally emerged from their pupa stages!
We can see from this picture a mealworm shedding its skin and turning into a pupa. It was so cool to see this happening right in front of our eyes!
On Thursday, we had our 5th grade State Fair!
Everyone worked so hard to make great posters to present at the fair.
We had a lot of parents, faculty, fourth graders and sixth graders come and visit. Students worked very hard the past couple of weeks to research information about their state. They felt great about showing off their hard work!
What a fun couple of weeks it has been!

I love coming back to our 5th grade class blog and seeing everything that happened my fifth grade year! Oh and look at me at the very bottom with my Montana bored :)
